Five minute tea break - Chocolate Chip Cookies (GF)

Updated: Jun 1, 2022

I hadn’t made these cookies until today. I have tried another gluten free cookie recipe a few times and every time the cookies literally spread to about ten times the size they were when they went into the oven. They merged together and even slid off the sides of the baking trays. It looked like something out of a science fiction movie!

After finding this fabulous recipe from #DovesFarm I am very happy and going to stick with this one from now on. They are easy to make, and the cookies remain at cookie size. And most importantly they taste delicious. And not only are they gluten free but they are also free from Soya, Dairy and Nuts and suitable for vegetarians. Perfect treat for when you have visitors and you’re not sure of their dietary requirements. Lovely with a cup of tea.

You’ll find the recipe here and lots of other fabulous gluten free recipes too. I use their flours for all of my gluten free baking. My daughter is Coeliac so I do A LOT of GF baking. I always need something to hand for things like school events where they will offer cakes or cookies, but they won’t have thought about a GF option. Playdates too – I can pack her off with a home-made cookie or chocolate brownie, so I know she will be able to have a snack and friends Mums don’t have to stress about what she can eat. The same applies for when we’re out for the day. You can’t reply on there being a GF option, so my handbag is usually full of GF snacks or a sandwich! Enjoy the cookies.
