Monday again - how!?!?! 🤯

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
As much as I'm not a big fan of Monday's, (I mean, who is?), it is a good time to start a fresh and hey, why can't a Monday be great!? 👌🤩

Let's start with a nice cup of coffee / tea and maybe a few minutes to write down what we want to get done today. I always like to write a couple of easy wins on my list so I can cross them off quite quickly. I love a handwritten list and the satisfaction of crossing things off. 😊

Perhaps you can squeeze in something nice, just for you to help Monday be great.
A little walk outside at lunchtime? A glass of wine this evening and a catch up with your family?

Whatever you get up to today, I hope it's great! 💕

I love a slow start to the weekend.
Coffee, my book and cosy lighting whilst I wait for the sun to rise (yup, I was awake very early 🙄).

What are your plans for today lovelies? Anything nice?
I’ve got the usual housework to do, but I’m also catching up with a lovely friend, going for a walk and if I have time I may also do some Christmas photography ready for my Christmas collection launch. ✨

I can’t wait to share my new Christmas collection with you - so many lovely things 🎄

Wishing you all a lovely weekend 💕

Are you a fellow homebody? 🏡

I’ve always loved the thought of home. Even when I was at Uni, I made sure my room was homely. My room in various house shares in London was always as cosy as I could make it - sectioning off areas for my desk and spaces to relax in. I loved going to the various interiors shops in London and buying soft furnishings or just inspiration to make my space as homely as possible.

And now I have my home with my family, and it is the place I love to be the most.😍

It’s where I can relax, have a giggle and just be me.

A weekend of pottering around, having a little interiors faff, maybe baking or prepping a Sunday roast is my idea of heaven. Throw in lighting candles and having a cosy night and the sofa and I’m truly in my element. 💕

Do you look forward to a weekend at home or do you prefer to plan a weekend of activities out and about?

Whatever your plans, I hope you have a fabulous Friday and a lovely start to the weekend 💕

Happy Friday-Eve!

Starting my day with a frothy coffee and planning.
I’m in my fav coffee shop and opposite me is a late teen showing his travel pics to his grandma. It’s lovely to see them having such a lovely chat.

Love a bit of people watching 👀

When I worked in Covent Garden I often got distracted by looking out of the window at all the people. 😳

Do you love a bit of people watching or am I just nosey? 😊

Are you into Halloween? 👻

I think there are levels of Halloween - the US clearly have it nailed and go for it in a big way.

But I’m more of a ‘Practical Magic’ and ‘Wednesday’ kinda level rather than the scary & over the top sort of Halloween. 🎃 👻 🍸

This year I’m adding a few hints of Halloween, mainly in the kitchen (Trying to conjure up the gorgeous kitchen in Practical Magic) and focusing on treats rather than tricks. 🍸🧁🍩

My daughter and I will also be watching Practical Magic 1 & 2 as we love those films. 😍🧙🧙‍♀️

What’s your favourite Halloween film? 🎬

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday 🌟

Good morning lovelies,

hope you all had a lovely weekend. It may be Monday but I’m excited as I’m catching up with an old friend this evening. Life has been busy so catching up on the phone is difficult to schedule in. But we’ve booked it for this evening! 😊

My friends are dotted around the country. I grew up in Cheshire which is where my friend lives who I’m catching up with later and I really do wish we lived closer. I went to Uni in Northampton, I’ve lived and worked all over London and had a spell in Essex
and now live with my family in Suffolk, so my friends are all over the place. 📍🗺️

Are you the same or do you still live in or near your home town?

But before my lovely catch up later, I’ve got a day of work ahead of me, so I’m going to fuel up on coffee and get cracking! ☕️☕️☕️

Wishing you all a great start to the week x

How lovely is this word. Fika - enjoying the simple joy of slowing down over a coffee and a pastry with friends. A perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in my humble opinion. ☕ 🥐 😊

And maybe a spot of shopping afterwards, including a browse of a book shop. 👌

Whatever your plans today, I hope you have a lovely day 💕

I think this has to be my new favourite phrase. Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of hurkle durkling, even if we didn’t know what it was called. 😁

No plans, no appointments and nowhere to be. How nice is that! 💕

Enjoy a snooze, read your book and enjoy a coffee in bed for an hour or two. ☕️📚😴

Do you treat yourself to flowers on a Friday? 💐
Maybe you're lucky enough to have flowers bought for you every Friday? If so, please give my husband a nudge! 😉

When you first started earning what was the item you bought that brought you joy? Yes it may have been a car, but it could also have been a nice bottle of wine every weekend, a scented candle or maybe a plant? 🪴

Mine were flowers for my home, which at the time was rented accommodation in London, but I still wanted to make it feel like home and flowers really helped with that.

When I worked in a a corporate office in St James's Square, London, there was a little mobile flower stall just around the corner. After work on a Friday I would stop by and treat myself to a bunch of flowers before either getting the tube home or meeting friends in a bar. I loved it. 😊 💐

I still enjoy buying flowers for my home today.
If you are looking for the perfect jug or vase for your flowers, there are some lovely ones on the website.

My mum once Googled "jugs" as I wanted them for my wedding table flowers. Needless to say she was quite shocked by the results! 😳🤣🤣

🎃 Do you love a pumpkin patch? I still go with my daughter (even though she is a late teen) and pick a huge orange pumpkin to carve and sit outside on the doorstep and a couple of smaller white and blue-grey ones for the kitchen.

It's a little tradition I want to keep going for as long as possible. 😊

I love decorating my home for the seasons, but I'm not a huge fan of the colour orange. 😳 We've lime-washed or removed all the orange pine that was in our home when we moved in. It's just a personal preference.

Bright orange pumpkins and foliage are not my bag, and they don't really sit well with my neutral home decor. This is why I created this collection of neutral coloured pumpkins that add seasonal charm for those of us who favour a more subtle colour scheme. 🩶 🤍 🤎

You can shop the pumpkin patch from the link in my bio - 🍂 Autumn Home Collection 🍂

Is your home bright & colourful or is it more neutral? 💬

Where the hell did the weekend go!? 😲
We did loads but it went by in a flash. Two days is not enough is it.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous autumnal sunshine.
We are still eating outside in the garden which is so nice, but I believe the temperatures are dropping next week. I must admit I'm looking forward to sweater weather and getting all my cosy jumpers out of storage again. Could it be time to do the summer to winter clothes change?

So here we go lovelies, Monday again - let's make the most of it.

I love a Sunday reset and the 'ber' months are perfect for this.
Taking a day at a slower pace is good for us. Having no schedule or appointments, or emails to reply to and just having a whole day stretching ahead of us is utter bliss isn't it. 😍🍂☕

Do you remember when all the shops and businesses were closed on a Sunday? (Yes, I'm that old) 🤪 Bring back that time! It was a day for family gatherings, baking, kids playing outside and pottering at home or in the garden. 🪴

Instead we're now at B&Q for our latest project or dashing here there and everywhere to various appointments or shops. We're trying to cram in as much as possible in the precious two day weekend. When really, we should be downing tools and slowing down.

Sitting outside with a blanket, a cuppa and my book whilst dinner is cooking is what I'd like to do today. Even if it's just for an hour. ☕📚🌳

I also want to go for a walk and when I'm watching the telly with my family later, I will light the candles and sit (looking glamorous) with a face mask on. 🕯

Little things that help me to reset for the busy week ahead.
What are you up to today? Will you manage to do things for you that will help you to just relax for a little while today? I'd love to hear in the comments 💬

Wishing you all a stress-free Sunday 💕

Happy Friday lovelies 😍

Hope you've all had a lovely week and are looking forward to the weekend.
It's been a busy week for me both for my shop and at home, but it's been a good one.

Although I'm now silly-busy prepping for Christmas (markets and my website) I am determined to enjoy the month of October. I'm looking forward to long walks, crunchy leaves, frothy lattes, catch-ups and quality family time with homemade crumbles and cosy film nights.

I've put together a fun October bucket list - how many things will you be doing this month? 🍂☕️🥧🌳🍿

🍂 🍂 🍂 HELLO OCTOBER 🍂 🍂 🍂

How is it October already!? Where the heck did September go to!?
I've got to admit, I'm a little worried that these months are flying by, as I've now only got a month before my Christmas markets begin. 🤪😬🎄

I love doing the markets and chatting to my customers, but there is lot to do before now and then! Eek.

But I am determined to make the most of the autumn as it's the season to get cosy, enjoy walks in the fresh air and to do a little update to home decor to reflect the season. The twinkle lights are on, candles are lit and we've kick-started the cosy films by watching You've Got Mail. 📩 Love that film 😍

Anyone else looking forward to sweater weather? 🍂 😍
I flipping love a cosy jumper. Jeans and a jumper, or leggings and a (long) jumper are what make up my autumn and winter wardrobe. Those and scarves. Love the cosiness of a long scarp wrapped around me.

We've already swapped over the duvets to the thick winter ones and OMG I am sleeping much better. I think it's just having the extra weight on top of me. Mind you, with the hormonal hot flushes it can get a bit toasty. 🙄🥵😅 Oh the absolute joys of being a woman!!! 🤣

But I'm here for the cosiness of the next few months.

✨New week - New products ✨

A favourite film for autumn, which my daughter and I watch on repeat is Practical Magic ✨🍸🥥 And the new film is just as good. That kitchen!!! Love it! 😍

So this halloween I'm channelling Practical Magic vibes for my decor. May even throw in a Margarita or two.

Midnight Margaritas
Ingredients (Per Drink) 🍸
1 1/2 oz blanco tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz cream of coconut
1 cup ice
Lime wedge and salt for the glass rim

Instructions
Prep the glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into salt. (Tradition says to throw a pinch of salt over your left shoulder for good luck!)
Blend: Combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, cream of coconut, and ice in a blender.
Mix: Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and slushy.
Serve: Pour into your rimmed glass, garnish with a lime wheel or wedge, and blast Harry Nilsson's song "Coconut" while dancing around the kitchen. 🥥 💃

If you're planning on having some halloween fun this season - these decorative ceramic tags will help create a magical look in your home.

They come with a choice of ribbon (black or peach)
The decorative tags are part of my Autumn Home Collection which you can access from the link in my bio. Or DM me and I'll message you the direct link. 💬🔗

I love a Sunday morning. Especially one like today when the sun is shining and I don’t have to be anywhere.

I can potter around at home (one of my fav things) doing all the little jobs and prep for the week ahead.

I’m getting outside in the garden today as there is lots to do out there. 🌱

I’ve recently started journaling (or keeping a diary) - not sure if there is a difference? 🤷‍♀️ So will find time to do that later.

I’ve recently bought some lovely new books which I’m itching to get started on, so I’m hoping to find time to read. And the November issue of Country Homes & Interiors has arrived which I’m looking to reading (and looking at the gorgeous homes) 😍

What are you all up to today?

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday x

I’ve recently bought some lovely new books which I’m itching to get started on, so I’m hoping to find time to read. And the November issue of Country Homes & Interiors has arrived which I’m looking to reading (and looking at the gorgeous homes) 😍

What are you all up to today?

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday x

Happy Friday! 💕
Now don’t be fooled by the pics, as it looks as if I’m living the dream with my morning walk and nice coffee before I start work.

The reality is, I’ve also cleaned the dishwasher, sprayed the oven which I’ve now got to scrub, hung the washing out and watered the pots outside. Glamorous it is not! 🤪😂 But at least I’ve been productive 😁

I’ll be working on finalising Christmas designs this morning. 🎄Cant wait to share them with you 😍

Wishing you all a wonderful Friday x

Are you enjoying the weather this month? September has been beautiful so far hasn't it. To quote Goldilocks, the temperature has been "just right" - not too hot and not too cold. 🥣

And I'm loving the cosy evenings. As the nights get slightly darker the twinkle lights are coming on. ✨✨✨

I've been using the glass cloche from my shop and filling it with twinkle lights - it looks lovely on a side table in the evenings. If this is a bit of you too - take a look at my Autumn Home Collection. Link is in my bio. 🍂

Well my lovelies, it's Thursday. not long now - Friday is in sight!

We had a visitor this morning. 🦌

To be fair we have deers in our garden most days. They limbo under the gate and spend hours in the garden. Either curled up under a hedge or they treat the garden as one big buffet! 🌱

This little muntjac was having a lovely time munching this morning. He didn’t care that we were all watching him. 👀

Well as he’s had his breakfast I suppose I’d better make my own.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday 💕

Are you Bake Off ready!? 🧁🍰🥮

This is a family watch for us - all of us snuggled on the sofa, drinks and snacks at the ready, because who is watching Bake Off without snacks??? 😲

My fav is cake week. But I want cakes that look like delicious cakes. I am not a fan of cakes that look like an object. Nope. 😐

I don’t want a cake to look like a shoe. Why?!? It’s been iced within an inch of its life to keep its form and to stop it from collapsing and it’s just not appealing. To me anyway. 🤷‍♀️

Call me old fashioned, but I want a cake or a biscuit to look like a delicious cake or a biscuit. 🧁🍪

Do you agree? Or are you happy with allllll the fondant icing in the shape of a handbag? 👜

What’s your favourite week on Bake Off?

✨ HAPPY MONDAY! ✨

Where did the weekend go? We were productive, but it went by in a flash!
Have you got a busy week ahead?

I'm all about Christmas - busy designing new Christmas decorations, which I'm so excited to share with you. But not just yet as let's enjoy Autumn first 🍂

I've got the dreaded weekly food shop to do. I hate cooking. I hate thinking of what to cook and then having to cook every single night. When did I sign up for this? 🤪

If we won the lottery, the first thing I'd buy isn't a holiday, boat or a ridiculously expensive car - it would be a chef! 100%!!! Someone to plan and cook all our meals would be amazing!!! 👩‍🍳

As I (sadly) don't have a personal chef, I try to make it easier for myself by planning every meal for the week and do an online shop for those meals. This stops the dreaded "what am I going to cook tonight" thought. 🤔

Do you do something similar or do you enjoy cooking and coming up with a meal on the spur of the moment? Hats off to you if you are totally winging it each evening!

Right, as I'm up early I'd better make the most of it and crack on.
Wishing you all a very sparkly Monday ✨✨✨

🍂 AUTUMN HOME DECOR 🍂

Time to get cosy! Don't get me wrong, I love summer, but I also love getting cosy.
Lighting candles, putting snuggly blankets on the sofa, and changing a few decorative pieces around my home like pretty pumpkins and rustic pieces that give a nod to the season changing. Ooh and maybe a wreath for the door!

I'm not into giving my entire home a complete overhaul for the change of season, just a few pieces is enough.

What do you like to do in your home when the seasons change? Do you add a couple of bits or are you a bit more committed and the paint brush comes out?

My autumn home decor collection is now live on the website if you fancy a little browse whilst enjoying your coffee. ☕

Happy Friday! 😊 x

✨ N E W ✨

I've just taken delivery of this gorgeous statement jug and had to share it with you. It's such a gorgeous shape and has a beautiful texture to it - perfect for autumn.

Fill with dried or fresh flowers, or display it on it's own in all it's gorgeousness.
I've just added it to the website.

Psst! Would make a lovely Christmas gift for someone who loves interiors 🎁😍

Wishing you all lovely evening x
